It's no secret that the Columbia River Gorge near Hood River, Oregon is one of the most stunning places to plan your wedding.

When Larissa & Ryan reached out to me to inquire about having me capture their beautiful wedding at The Griffin House on The Columbia River Gorge, it was a no brainer! From our first interaction, we really vibed and I knew that this day would be absolutely magical for all. They gave me full permission to get creative and expressed their appreciation for any 'artistic' shots I wanted to try. HECK YES to that!

Larissa and Ryan both got ready for the day inside the gorgeous home that was built in the early 1900's. Ryan took over the downstairs and Larissa and the gals were upstairs in the beautifully lit getting ready area. Ryan had the coolest custom suit made by Indochino. Larissa rocked a dress from Davids Bridal that could've been straight from a fairytale! After they were ready, I led Ryan to a spot on the Eastern Lawn - one of the highest spots on the property. He waited there to see his bride for the very first time. Larissa snuck up behind him and he was absolutely blown away (maybe literally) by her beauty! Larissa also chose to do a first look with their doggie, Little Foot and my heart was melted!

To follow the first look, I took Ryan and Larissa for some photos along with their wedding party + family. Then we were ready for the Ceremony which took place on the stunning Ceremony Lawn, overlooking the Colombia River Gorge. The large pine shadowing the space really made it feel like its own magical warp in time.

Then we headed up to the Welcome Terrace for a gorgeous cocktail hour with the 35 guests in attendance. There were delicious appetizers, and champagne for all! Everyone then headed to a gorgeous clear tent on The Reception Lawn for a delectable dinner by Field & Vine. Larissa & Ryan expressed their love for food and how much it meant to them. They graciously served the vendors meals and let me tell you - literally one of the best wedding meals I have EVER had. Melt-in-your-mouth yummy!

The rest of the night was spent dancing away in the light of the tent. Bo from John Ross Music really created the best vibe and brought an energy nobody could resist! Feelings of enchantment filled the air as everyone laughed, hugged, cried, and drank underneath the abyss of trees. This is one day I will never forget! Thank you Larissa & Ryan for inviting me to capture your story at The Griffin House.
